Make your own SoonNoon hat in Stockholm

HOW WE DO IT

Choose your colour, shape and details, and we’ll guide you through the process from start to finish. Our Stockholm workshop gives you a hands-on introduction to hat making – from shaping and working with the tools to exploring different hat styles and learning how to care for your hat so it lasts for years to come.

We’ll be there throughout the process, sharing what we’ve learned from making hats ourselves and helping you shape a hat that feels like your own.

WHAT YOU GET

Before the workshop, we recommend doing some research beforehand and bringing a few images of hats, shapes or details that inspire you. They don’t have to be exact – they simply give us a starting point for what you’d like to make.

The workshop includes all materials, coffee and refreshments. And at the end of the day, you’ll leave with your very own SoonNoon hat, shaped and finished by you.

In our weekend hat workshop, you will design your own hat over 2 days with us, housed in the beautiful creative space of Klättermusen Verkstad, located on Södermalm in Stockholm and Nytorgsgatan 36. 

SLOT 1 Schedule:

– SATURDAY: 9 AM - 12 PM (3 hours)
– SUNDAY: 9 AM - 12 PM (3 hours)

SLOT 2 Schedule:

– SATURDAY: 1 PM - 4 PM (3 hours)
– SUNDAY: 1 PM - 4 PM (3 hours)

The workshop is split into two days. On day 1 (Saturday) you get an introduction to hats and the anatomy of the hat, as well as a closer look at hat-making techniques. When you've chosen the material and color you will steam and block your hat to the right size on a wooden block, where the drying process will be going on overnight. On day 2 (Sunday), we remove your hat from the block, sew in a leather sweatband, give your preferred shape to the crown and brim, and finally, we add details and finish your hat to perfection.

Once you've booked your spot, we will send you additional information days before the starting date of the hat course.

You can prepare yourself by having some sort of idea of what hat style you want make, anything from color, details, style and shape. Bring images or even your own details you might want to add. We guide you all the way!
